AA batteries allow this to run longer than the rechargables. Important if you have 2 classes in a row. I have several rechargable units that no longer work. Fun for 1st law demos, collisions and video analysis. Wish it had an LED in the center - flashing LED would be even better to allow a photo analysis of motion.
