Aluminum, sulfuric acid, and potassium hydroxide, crystallized out from an aqueous solution, can create a synthesized form of potassium alum. With these materials, all included in this kit, students perform a series of chemical reactions to synthesize potassium alum; they then dry the crystals and determine the percent yield by obtaining their mass. The kit comes with enough materials for 15 setups. Note: Additional shipping fee required.
