Comparing Reaction Rates By Gas Collection
|
Product Information
If your students have ever questioned why some reactions go very quickly while others tend to take forever, this lab allows them to find out for themselves. Using a method that makes determining the “rate” of reaction simple and quantitatively accurate, students quickly see how varying concentration or temperature or adding a catalyst affects the rate of a reaction. Developed by Mary Gallup. Includes: 10 gas collection tubes, 10 rubber stoppers (00, 1-hole), 10 test tubes (15 mm x 125 mm), 500 ml 3% hydrogen peroxide, 500 mL 67% hydrogen peroxide, 500g manganese dioxide, 50mL glycerine, instructions.
