Product Information

Treat your students to a hands-on lesson in metallurgy.

By using the process of electrolysis, your students can turn a metal (a copper electrode) into an alloy (brass). This kit, which contains materials for 12 lab stations, also features a separate lab for annealing, hardening and tempering.

Includes: copper electrodes, alligator clips, zinc sulfate, hydrochloric acid, battery holders, 9V batteries, non-metallic scouring pads, bobby pins and complete instructions.

Please note: Three 600 mL beakers are required but not included.

Grades 8–12.
