Paint Making Kit

Product Information
When ancient Egyptians painted statues and scrolls, the artists used paints made from pigments of plants and clay, which were ground into powders and mixed with water. Today, chemists use synthetic pigments and a liquid vehicle to make paints. Your students can use this kit (suitable for students in all grade levels) to learn about the chemistry involved in making paints today, and to make their own blue and green paint. Developed by David Budnik. Grades 5-9. Includes: ferric ammonium sulfate, potassium ferrocyanide, cobalt chloride, tempera base, brushes, cups, lids, toothpicks, droppers, MSD sheets and instructions.
