This powerful zoom stereomicroscope features a built-in 1/3" interline CCD camera with a low 3 lux capability, manual white balance and phenomenal shutter speeds of between 1/60 to 1/10,000 of a second. The fast shutter speeds make capturing even the swiftest of bacteria or protozoa as easy as photographing a rock.
Features for microscopy include 10x-30x magnification, widefield 10x eyepieces, a 230mm x 220mm stage and a focus range of 1.92"/48mm. Illumination is provided by a 12V, 10W halogen (incident) bulb and a 5W fluorescent bulb. These light sources work separately or together giving you optimum lighting choices. The 80mm stage plate is frosted and the unit comes with black and white inserts. The ergonomically designed base is wide at the back for extra stability while narrow upfront to give you the room you need to easily manipulate specimens.
The camera comes with both USB digital and Composite/S-Video analog connectors. With the UBS "plug and play" connector images are transmitted directly from the microscope to your computer for viewing on your computer monitor. Data is delivered at a whopping rate of 8.0 MB/sec. Still images can be displayed at 640 x 480 pixels and live video can be displayed at 320 x 240 pixels at a frame rate of 30 frames per seconds.
The analog connector allows you to simultaneously transmit images to your television or other monitor with composite or S-Video data input. Crisp clear images are displayed at 480 TV lines of resolution.
Used with the included Motic Images Plus software still images and live video of specimens under study can be saved to your computer's hard drive. Still i
