Features include an oil immersion 100x lens and Abbe condenser with a numerical aperture of 1.25 for outstanding resolution at 1000x magnification, a student proof stop; recessed eyepiece set screw; a brass on brass guide for smoother focusing; and a heavier, more stable base.
Moving the slide is simple with the improved mechanical stage (sold separately as item number 55842-00 ). Exact fit and positive spring action enables students to have consistent control of the slide position.
