Water Pollutants & a Living Organism Lab Activity
|
Product Information
In this lab, students investigate the effects of water pollution on living organisms — specifically the vinegar eel. Six chemical pollutants, both singularly and in combinations; are introduced into the organism’s environment. Students observe the vinegar eel’s responses and watch for the phenomena of positive synergy. As many states use this method to test for water pollution, the lab not only addresses an area of growing environmental concern, but also provides a real-world application of science. Includes materials for 24 students, teacher’s manual, and instructions. Note: contains perishable materials — please specify ship date.
