Product Information A rotating platform can be used as an alternative to a stool when demonstrating the conservation of angular momentum, centripetal force, and precession. Students can stand on the platform while holding the Gyroscope Bicycle Wheel (62023-00 ) for a firsthand experience of gyroscopic forces. Both our models are wooden discs, using low friction ball-bearing assembly. -40 has a platform diameter of 40 cm, and a square wood base with an overall height of 6 cm. -29 has a 29 cm diameter platform, a matching round base giving it an overall height of 6 cm.
