The S.T.A.R. Digital Tape Timer replaces 19th century ticker timer technology with 21st century optoelectronics and computer display.
S.T.A.R. is an extremely effective tool for improving student understanding of the essential concepts of distance, speed, velocity and acceleration and the relationship between graphs of these. As the device is direction sensitive, simple forward, stop, and reverse motion can be recorded as well as oscillations of masses on a spring or a tethered trolley.
Data is written to a “memory button” that is snapped out of its holder and snapped into a read socket that connects to a PC serial port. Using the included STAR 32 software, data can be graphed and analyzed. Battery powered.
Includes: STAR timer with memory button, serial interface lead, 200m reel of 1mm STAR tape, 200m reel of 5mm STAR tape, software.
