Product Information With this versatile apparatus, your students can not only measure vertical force applied by pressure and pulling force or weight, they can also determine horizontal, opposing, and angular forces. A metal cylinder with a red index mark is mounted on a rod passing through a graduated plastic box. The cylinder is held between two springs. Pulling or pushing on either of the rod’s free ends will displace the cylinder against the tension of the springs.
