Product Information

This giant, detailed chart uses color to highlight the different group similarities as well as reinforce the different underlying electron configurations.
The focus is on those entries that will be used heavily in a high school introductory course: oxidation number for molecular assembly, electronegativity for polarity and neutrons for showing relationships between atomic mass and atomic number (along with indicating common isotopes).
Melting and boiling points are added for group/period characteristics. The activity series of metals, polyatomic ion names and geometric models hit areas which students often have difficulty.
The time-line at the bottom and the border information both tie into historical aspects of chemistry as do the symbols in the general background.
