Crocodile Physics is an innovative, electro-mechanical simulator that combines the sophistication of an industrial strength simulator with an understanding of the needs of teachers.
Using a simple "drag and drop" interface, students select components from a toolbar and create their own electronic or mechanical designs right on the computer screen. Switches and controls are easily operated, component values can be changed freely, and components can be grouped together to create subsystems.
Animation reveals invisible components - voltage, force, current and charge and brings the design to life: motors and gears turn, masses accelerate, springs oscillate, lamps light up and LEDs glow. Probes can be dropped into the design to plot a wide variety of quantities. Also includes wave simulation.
Experiments include: internal resistance, series and parallel circuits, period and frequency, Hooke's Law, simple harmonic motion and much more.
Includes: Online index, user's guide, and 50 printable worksheets based around major physics textbooks.
Crocodile Technology allows students to create and test designs in electronics, mechanics, and programming. Includes over 100 activities and a Sim-Editor that let's you write your own interactive lessons.
