Food Pyramid Bingo is an energetic and exciting way for students to learn the basics of good nutrition without all the hype or confusion. The game helps students become familiar with the food guide pyramid, recognize the five major food groups as well as the "fats, oils, sweets" category, be able to indicate the recommended serving size of 75 different foods within the five major food groups, and acquire many other essential nutrition skills.
Played like Bingo, a "Caller" draws random picture cards and calls out the name of the food depicted. Players must match the food stated to the identical picture located on their card and place a marker on that food picture. When a player marks five consecutive foods in a row, they become the winner. Includes: 30 laminated bingo cards, 1 checking chart, 95 picture squares, 600 markers, instruction sheet.
