Product Information Test soil for lead with laboratory sensitivity down to 400 ppm This kit provides a convenient method for the detection of lead in soil at currently recognized hazard levels (>400 ppm). Everything needed to screen soil for lead is included in the kit and this kit can be used with any soil collection method. Simply prepare the soil sample for testing, extract the lead from the soil using the extraction liquid, and then test the extraction liquid for lead content. If levels of lead above 400 ppm are present, the solution will change to show a pink or red color. The darker the color the higher the levels. Pink or red precipitates may also form.
