Using the materials in this kit, children make paintings and a braclet that will change color in the sunlight, create a solar detector and learn about UV light and sunscreen. While having fun "playing" at science they are asked to answer such questions as "Does time of day make a difference in how quickly the color changes?", "Does it matter if it is cloudy outside?", and "What could block the sun light?".
The Classroom Kit (shown) Includes: 5- 4 packs of photochromic paint, 5 brushes, 75 sun beads, 10 pipe cleaners, 10 cups, reproducible instruction cards and teacher notes. Everything comes packaged in a reusable snap-lid platic storage container. The Individual Kit includes 1pack of 3 paints, brush, 12 sun beads, pipe cleaner, 2 cups and instructions.
