Product Information

With this kit children are able to explore magnetism, feel the forces, draw with a magnet and iron filings, and detect invisible fields. The activities were designed to fit the special science needs of pre-K to grade 3 children.

They learn what makes magnets float (or not float), the difference between attract and repel and north and south magnetic poles, "paint" magnetic doodles using iron filings, try to deduct the forces behind the mysteriously moving magnet, and more. Also helps children begin to understand the scientific method and how scientists use models to help explain their theories.

Classroom Kit Includes: 5 magnetic wands, 5 sets of ring magnets with stand, 5 magnetic doodles with magnetic pen, activity cards and teacher notes. Everything comes neatly packaged in a reusable snap-lid plastic storage container.
