|
Product Information
Neither words nor pictures can do justice to this scientific work of art of the highest caliber. The Astrolabium 2000 is a meticulous reproduction of the "Heaven Machine" developed and built in the 18th century by the famous clock maker Philipp Matthaus Hahn (1739-1790). Features include a quartz regulated brass mechanism that indicates time, month, date, moon phase, and zodiac sign. Also shows the yearly revolution of the Earth around the Sun and the daily rotation of the Earth on its axis. The semi-precious stone representation of the Earth is 30mm/1.18" in diameter. The case is mahogany lacquered hardwood. The mouth-blown glass dome measures 10.5" x 7" dia. Operates on one "C" battery.
