Product Information Appropriate for Grades 9-12 The Kool Column Chromatography & Spectrophotometric Analysis kit, which uses methods that mimic those used in research and industry, give students the opportunity to run isopropyl alcohol through a liquid chromatography cartridge to separate grape Kool-Aid into its colored dye components. Using their results, they then analyze the components and compare the spectra to those of known standards using visible spectrophotometry. Developed by Tim Graham.
