Now you do not need to be tethered to an electrical outlet during the labs. The photogate connects via a monoplug jack to a stopwatch. When the photobeam is broken the stopwatch starts, and when the second beam is broken it stops. It is designed for use with any lab requiring the timing of a moving object.
