Product Information
Conduct a graphic demonstration of the differences in thermal conductivity that the whole class can see. Four metal arms — one each of copper, aluminum, iron and brass — are embedded in a metal hub that rests in a clear glass dish. The dish is placed in the center of a 15 X 15 cm clear plastic square with labels for each arm, and each arm supports a small strip if wax. Boiling water is then poured into the glass dish and students are able to observe the sequence in which the wax melts. Includes instructions. Grades 9–12.
