The Boreal Digital/Analog Advanced SKope allows you to send microscopic images directly to your computer and TV monitor via USB, S-Video or RCA connections. The built-in 1/3" CCD digital camera provides 480 lines of resolution, requires a minimum illumination of only 0.1 lux. and can "see" 16.7 million colors.

The included Motic Images 2000 software on CD-ROM turns the Digital/Analog Advanced SKope into an image capture and manipulation machine. Simple pull-down menus give you instant access to a large selection of powerful but easy to use digital tools. Image capture allows you to capture and broadcast on your computer or TV monitor real time images up to 320 x 240 pixels in size, capture and save to your hard drive still images up to 640 x 480 pixels in size, and video capture images using the "time-lapse" function. This allows you to create mini-movies that show specimen development and movement over time.

The measuring function allows you to measure specimens by length and area (elliptical, rectangular and irregular shapes). With the sound recording function (and your sound card and microphone) you can record and store images with your lecture notes for future reference. As powerful as this software is, it is also amazingly simple to use.
