Product Information Introduce students to six analytical tests for carbohydrates: the iodine test for starch, Benedict’s test for reducing carbohydrates, Baerford’s test for reducing monosaccharides, Seliwanoff’s test for ketoses, and Bial’s test for pentoses. The kit allows students to perform 12 different tests on six different parameters, for practical lab experience in biochemistry. Includes materials for eight student groups and teacher’s guide with assessment manuals and scoring sheets. Note: concentrated sulfuric acid and glacial acetic acid are required but not included.
