Product Information

Students can control the light input with the adjustable slit and there is also a built in internal scale that is calibrated in nanometers, making measurement reading easier. In addition, the spectroscope features a durable metal housing and holographic replica grating for the most precise resolution. Three included cuvettes are included for liquid samples as well as a metal adapter.

Works but has some issues

This spectroscope works but is not quite as represented: it does not have an adjustable slit, which is a problem because slit width determines in part resolution. The slit as supplied is too wide for most observations. I narrowed mine with a piece of tape. Also, the calibration on the scale is a bit off on the high end, about 7-8%, but better on the low end. Unit does seem to be rugged and well made.
