Because of their high germination rate, these radish seeds make great subjects for the study of plant anatomy and reproduction. Large flower allows for pollination with a brush.
Complete manual provides 10 Rapid Radish Lab activities including growing instructions, curriculum applications, teacher pedagogical guide, student instructions, glossary of terms and plenty of ideas for teacher or student designed labs.
Irradiated assortment provides seeds exposed to 100, 150, and 500 mrads, as well as non-irradiated seeds to be used as experimental control.
The Rapid Radish Accessory Kit Includes prepared plant medium, plant stakes, 40 plant labels, fertilizer (makes 1 L), and 10 pollinating brushes.

I bought these because we were talking about mutations in my biology class. We planted them and, although there wasn't a REALLY clear difference with the different lengths of irradiation between the seeds, there was some, and the students thought it was pretty interesting. Don't tell the students LOL but I kindof "manipulated" the data and took out some of the plants to make the results more obvious. They did grow very quickly, though, and I believe almost all of them did grow, if not ALL of them. I'll be doing it again!
