Product Information

Many labs tables are equipped with rod sockets that fit large diameter rods that are too large for many commonly used clamps. The opening in this adapter, developed by teacher Brad McGinnis, will fit 5/16″ -18(coarse) thread diameter, which is standard US coarse thread. Another advantage is that the rods with this adapter are much more stable than using freestanding support stands.
