Product Information
Use this propulsion demonstration to teach students about conservation of momentum. As the mass of the propellant (one, two or three steel balls) increases, the distance traveled by the car also increases. This hands-on experiment allows students to visually examine the relationship between mass, velocity, and momentum. In addition, this apparatus may be used with a support rod to demonstrate Newton’s Second Law of Motion. Includes instruction manual. Note: a meter stick and clamp are required, but not included.
