Second Law of Motion Demonstrator
|
Product Information
Which of two balls will strike the ground first, the one dropped straight to the floor or the one shot outward?Because Newton tells us that the horizontal component of force is independent of vertical components, the answer is - at the exact same instant. Since this is contrary to what many students expect, they'll want to see it to believe it. Which is where our well-designed apparatus comes in. Let the doubters try for themselves! To use the Second Law of Motion Demonstrator, simply place both balls in position on the base on a corner of a table or mounted to a ring stand. Propel them at the same instant using the spring plunger. The Second Law of Motion Demonstrator includes an aluminum base; spring plunger with two settings; two 1&" diameter (2.5cm) steel balls (one solid, one with hole); instructions with theory and experiments.
