Product Information

Just as the name states this is a very simple motor.

Operation involves a coil of wire, a magnet, and a battery. The motor works because electricity runs through the coil and a magnetic field is formed. The coil pushes away from the magnet with enough force to turn it around. As the coil turns, it becomes charged and spins.

The motor was designed by science teacher Bruce Yeany, whose many other Teacher Developed, Classroom Tested products can be found throughout this CD.

Includes: assembly instructions and suggested experiments. A D cell battery is required but not included.
