Product Information

This working model thermostat will demonstrate how differential expansion is used to control temperature.
A bimetallic strip is used to open or close an electric circuit when temperature changes. The contacts will carry about three amperes. The unit can be operated with a 6 V lantern battery, low voltage power supply, or a blow dryer.
Mounted on a metal base; approximately 15 cm high.
