Product Information Appropriate for Grades 1-6 Understanding Sentences is a series of 100 graded reading paragraphs in increasing order of diffuculty, reading levels 2 to 6. Side A presents a paragraph and a modified cloze method; two words have been omitted from each paragraph; one is a utilitarian-type word, and the other is a special-meaning word. Using the rest of the sentence for context clues, the student must supply the missing word where the blank space appears. Side B has two sets of sentences based upon the paragraph. In each set, two sentences have the same meaning. One has another meaning. The student must understand basic sentence syntactical structure to choose the correct pairs.
