Product Information

An ingenious way to test students’ ability to scan a microscope slide in search of a structure, this kit uses slides filled with a variety of words and phrases. Several nonsense words are printed on each slide along with one word or phrase that makes sense. Students are asked to find and report the one word related to science on the slide, and practice their microscopy skills of focusing and maneuvering in the process. Developed by Lisa Weise, slides are packaged in a storage box with an answer key. Includes 25 slides and instructions. Grades 4–12.

Not really perfected

This is a wonderful idea. Yet, some of the tiny words you are searching for on the slides are not readable. I contacted customer service and they kindly sent me a second one. Same thing! I love the idea if the words really could be read as advertised.
