Demonstrate the process of DNA amplification by PCR with this simulation experiment. Students observe how the amplified product is detected by separating the reaction mixture by agarose gel electrophoresis. Complete the entire experiment in just 45 minutes. Simulated amplified DNA comes ready to load and is accompanied by instructions, agarose powder, practice gel loading solution, electrophoresis buffer, and microtipped transfer pipettes. Includes materials for 10 students groups. A horizontal electrophoresis chamber and power supply, required, are available separately.
