Product Information

With its unique chain and gear drive system, this giant Earth model can be used to demonstrate how the tilt of the Earth cause both seasonal change and the length of day and night to change.
Mounted on the globe is a solar cell with digital display that is used to measure the amount of "radiation" that part of the Earth receives from the "sun" (the included flashlight) during each season of the year.
The 23.5 degree tilt can be righted which allows students to measure the radiation again to compare with their original findings.
What they will discover will show them very clearly what it is that causes seasonal change. Unit measures 124.5 cm x 40.6 cm x 55.9 cm. Grades 7-10.
Includes: 12" detailed globe with digital solar panel, flashlight, video, day and nigh guard, complete teacher's guide. Easy to assemble, requires no tools.
