Students will not only learn how the power output of the wind turbine is affected by both the number and pitch of the blades but also how the rotational speed of the wind turbine must be reduced to protect itself under strong wind conditions. Students will also be able to attain a visual depiction of the power created from the wind energy through the form of illuminated LED lights and music. Includes 12 blades (three different types of profiled blades and one type of type of polypropylene sheet blades), a complete curriculum on wind energy with an easy to follow experiment manual, an assembly guide, and background history on the technology and wind power generators.
